When filling up at the pump, it can be difficult to determine exactly how much oil to put in when the volume of fuel is unknown.

Use a JASO FC or JASO FD rated two-cycle oil.

For street vehicles without catalytic converters,

  • ... with a functioning Oil Metering Pump, use a ratio range of 200:1 to 250:1
  • ... without an operating Oil Metering Pump, use a ratio range of 100:1 to 120:1

For track days without catalytic converters,

  • ... with a functioning Oil Metering Pump, use a ratio range of 150:1 to 200:1
  • ... without an operating Oil Metering Pump, use a ratio range of 75:1 to 100:1

If your vehicle is equipped with a catalytic converter, be aware that premixing will further shorten catalytic converter life.
